Business espionage countermeasures are serious matters and many companies go “unplugged” because they do not know who to contact or where to find the right consultants. BECSA members are available for consulting and adhere to a strict code of ethics;

A member shall only render those services that a member is competent to perform:Cape Town - South Africa

A member will not knowingly misrepresent him/herself;

A member will not knowingly violate any law;

A member will not promise or offer services or results he cannot deliver or has reason to believe he or she cannot provide;

A member will conduct business with honesty integrity and uphold the association’s principles and avoid conduct detrimental to the profession and association;

A member will cooperate with a recognised law enforcement and government agencies in matters falling in their jurisdiction;

A member will not take personal, financial or any other advantage of inside information gained during consulting services;

A member recognises his responsibility to the association to share with other members his or her knowledge, methods, tactics and other information to allow other members to serve their clients and organisations effectively;

Members will strive to advance the association.
